In 5 years of coaching, I have had countless conversations about family, motivation, fitness, relationships, life, money & career.

One of my biggest findings was that motivation & the will to do better had many different factors which the client had not yet discovered would be the catalyst for their success.

Life throws many things at us & it's easy for it all to become very overwhelming. This is something I found in my own journey too. 

Gaining alignment in all areas of life is not linear or a one size fits all model.

This inspired me to research deeper into how incorporating many different therapeutic practices merging both modern & ancient techniques can help.




So how do we handle our ever-changing world?

By embracing it, mastering clarity, being in flow & learning the tools that even in the hardest of times can help us keep control of our mind, body & spirit.

Benefits of having an Intuitive Life Coach

An Intuitive life coach can help a person to identify strengths, develop them, and identify personal and professional goals through the use of looking at the clients experience through my knowledge of the mind, body & spirit.  Their role is to assist the client throughout the change process. As you will discover, this happens in several ways. The session time will be broken down into what is best needed for you at that time.

 

A session at Umā might look like one or a combination of our healing therapies such as: 
~ Working with the lymphatic system through massage
~ Relaxing & healing the body with infrared heat
~ Calming the mind through conversation, building a plan & setting goals
~ Balancing your chakras with meditation techniques & reiki healing.

 

What is a good coaching relationship?

The foundation of a good coaching relationship is trust and authenticity. This allows for vulnerability. Clients who open themselves to being vulnerable can experience growth in self-compassion (Moore, et al., 2016). 

 

Researcher Kristin Neff (2019) defines a good coaching relationship as a combination of self-kindness, mindfulness, and a sense of common humanity (Neff, 2019).

 

'An intuitive coach pays particular attention to assisting clients to identify their strengths.'

 

Clients learn to explore and develop them as a means to achieve their goals, and also to cultivate positive emotions (Moore, et al., 2016). Generating positive emotions leads to what Fredrickson (2013) calls, “an upward spiral.”

In her landmark work, she identified ten positive emotions:

  1. Inspiration

  2. Hope

  3. Pride

  4. Interest

  5. Love

  6. Awe

  7. Amusement

  8. Joy

  9. Gratitude

  10. Serenity

Coaching creates the space for clients to build on these emotions and flourish.
